Teaching the Wonders of Africa and the African Diaspora

The purpose of this professional development course is to expose educators to the variety of methods and materials from Africa and the African Diaspora which can be used to enhance the teaching of the history of the culture across the curriculum. This 30 contact hour course includes video screenings, book reviews, site visits and a broad range of hands-on activities designed by the staff of the Education and Family Programs of the National Black Arts Festival (NBAF).
