Nigger, niggah, niggar, nigress, nigga and nigras, it does not matter how it was spelled; the word was created as a derogatory word to insult and demean black people. Some slaves were so used to being called a nigger by their masters, mistresses and overseers, being called a niggah, etc. became part of a slave’s everyday life. Niggah was used a lot on slave blocks when men, women and children where sold to the highest bidder along with other livestock. The auctioneer would call a slave a nigger just as quick as they would call them by their name. Slave's used the word niggah during negative conversations with and about each other.
